I absolutely love make-up. All of the glitter and shine that accompanies such pretty colors. I can’t help but want every eye shadow and lipstick that comes my way. Which is probably why I’ve got such a large collection. I like my make-up animal friendly, meaning I only buy cosmetics that are vegan and cruelty-free. I prefer Indie brands more simply because they tend to cater to these more than commercial brands do. Indie brands usually offer great customer service and I love a company that loves me back. So, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Indie cosmetic companies to explain why I love them so much and why you should try them.
Beauty From The Earth
I came across BFTE shortly after it opened back in 2007 and I’ve been hooked ever since. Not only do they carry one of the largest selections of eye shadows I’ve ever seen, they offer unique colors, beautiful shimmers, and silky minerals. BFTE offers both vegan and non-vegan choices and is a cruelty-free company. They carry everything you need to complete your look, from primer to finishing powder. They offer full size jars and samples of just about everything they carry and may surprise you with freebies in your order.
I’ve used Lime Crime cosmetics for a little over a year now and have nothing but love for their bright bold colors. They may not carry a large selection like BFTE, but they make up for it with their hyper-pigmented color choices. They are 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free. Their line of Velvetine lipsticks are amazing, my absolute favorite. They go on like a lip gloss and dry into a perfect matte finish that is so silky and smooth. They also carry a line of liquid eyeliner in several colors that are so bright and bold they will make anyone’s eyes pop!
Glamour Doll Eyes
I started using Glamour Doll a few years ago when a friend gave me a few jars of their eye shadows. They carry a wide-range of colorful cosmetics in glitters, shimmers, and mattes. They are also a cruelty-free company, and carry a large amount of vegan cosmetics. I love that they offer grab bags, which are a random selection of their eye shadows, and a monthly subscription that gets you a new GDE product every month.
So, if you’re looking for a company that offers vegan or cruelty-free makeup, or maybe just something new, I highly suggest all three of these fabulous companies. Go check them out:
